Jeff Eaves was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from local public schools before attending the University of Texas at Arlington and Midwestern State University, where he earned honors with a double major in mathematics and history. Jeff then earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class and serving as an editor of the Tulsa Law Review. He earned the highest grades in both criminal law and criminal procedure during law school.

Early in his career, Jeff served as a felony prosecutor with the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office, where he tried more than 20 jury trials. That courtroom experience gave him insight into how prosecutors prepare cases and sharpened his skills in strategy and advocacy.

After years in prosecution, Jeff chose to return to the community he calls home and focus on defending individuals in both family and criminal law matters. At Jeff Eaves Law, he works to protect clients’ rights with clarity and commitment. For criminal clients, he often posts bail bonds for no additional charge, saving clients fees they might otherwise pay to a bonding company.

Jeff has been a member of the State Bar of Texas Committee for Pattern Jury Instructions since 2007 and has contributed to the Texas Pattern Jury Instructions for Criminal Cases. He has handled appeals in state appellate courts and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and he represents clients in both state and federal courts.

Alongside his criminal defense work, Jeff represents clients in family law matters, including divorce and child custody. He approaches these cases with an understanding that family law issues are often deeply personal and stressful. His goal is to guide clients through difficult legal processes with clear advice and tenacious representation.
